DR. FRANCES S. BAKER (Paul K. Lewis 2019) (Cottage Pattern(Ross) X Desire of Nations(Emmerich))Tet., SEV, MLa, 6" flower, 36 inch scape, 3 way branching, 17 buds.

Sometimes in life we need a little extra help to help us navigate through rough waters.  I had to see a psychiatrist to get some extra help with some problems, and will always be grateful to my friend, Dr. Francis S. Baker for helping me with that. I wanted to make sure the daylily I named for her was very special.  This lovely purple daylily is just that.  It stands tall on 36 inch scapes.  Lovely purple flower with cream colored watermark with corresponding cream colored edge.  Almost flawless in every way, but occasionally gets hung up on cold mornings.  Easy to use.  Fertile both ways. $200 SF SOLD OUT due to early interest. (Being held for increase)

SECRETARIAT (Paul K. Lewis 2019) (All Things to All Men (Emmerich) X Precious Candy (Stamile)) Tet., SEV, M, 5.5 " flower, 30 inch scape, 3 way branching, 15 buds.

Back in 1973, I was only 10 years old, and I had never seen a Triple Crown winner on TV.  So it was a big deal for a young boy to see a horse like Secretariat win the Triple Crown.  I never forgot it and wanted to name a daylily for that horse.  Along came this beautiful blue eyed daylily out of Karol Emmerich's lovely All Things to All Men.  It really blew me away the second year this seedling bloomed, so I would tell you that I feel that Secretariat really needs to be established before it starts to put on a show.  It might be more of a northern daylily since when I saw pictures of it down in Florida, I was very disappointed by the fact the bloom looked different.  To be fair, I wanted to post a picture of the bloom down in Florida, so you don't think it will always look like the nicer pictures.  It is a pink lavender flower, with a blue eye that blends into a yellow green throat. It is complemented by a corresponding blue and yellow double edge. Easily fertile both ways, and I believe it will be a great parent for blue eyed daylilies going forward.  Some of the early results are promising.
SOLD OUT due to early demand.  I only have a single fan, so I would say you might have better luck getting this from various sellers on the Lily auction.

LINDA ZAK (Paul K. Lewis 2019) (Intaglio Image (Maryott) X Keys to the Kingdom (Hansen))Tet., SEV, MLa, 6" flower, 30" scape, 2-3 way branching, 14 buds.

My sister Linda Zak, is a wonderful person who has worked in the mortgage business for many years.  She is married to Doug Zak, and has a daughter, my niece, Autumn.  I wanted the daylilies that I name for my family members to be special, and the daylily Linda Zak is no exception.  It is a pink daylily with this lovely carving that blends into a yellow green throat.  The edge is ruffled and gold in color.  It's one of those daylilies that draws you in for a closer look because there is so much going on. It really puts on a show once it's established and seems to set pods better then.  Pollen is easily fertile.  I look forward to seeing it's seedlings in the years to come. Ever since I first saw Steve Moldovan's Gaudeamus, I wanted to cross with it as much as possible.  I wanted to see if it would pass on it's stellar plant habit.  I have not been disappointed and I feel Angels on our Shoulders is it's best seedling to date.  I am always trying to create a daylily with that awesome plant habit complemented by a pretty bloom, and I feel Angels on our Shoulders is that daylily.  It has a lovely pink bloom, with a circular yellow eye zone, complemented by nice gold teeth around the edge that never get hung up.  Easy to set pods on and pollen fertile as well. SOLD OUT. (Being held for increase)

Named for my niece, Helen Matia who is an excellent swimmer and athlete.  The daylily Helen Matia is a wonderful pink flower with a red eye zone that blends into a yellow green throat.  The edge is complemented by a red and gold double edge.  This lovely daylily has outstanding plant habit with a ton of buds that translates into a long bloom season.  It is fertile both ways. Sorry this one is sold out.

I always wanted the daylily that I named for my mother to be special.  Every year this daylily just captivated me and I knew it would be a fitting choice.  It has a shell pink flower that blends into a yellow green throat.  The lovely gold edge is the icing on the cake.  Nice thick substance and easily fertile both ways.  My mother was a school teacher her whole life and she raised myself, my brother and two sisters.  $100 SF, Spring Shipping. SHARK TANK (Paul K. Lewis 2019) (Blue Eyed Dragon (Lambertson) X Spinefeld (Stamile/Pierce)) Tet., SEV, M, 6"flower, 27" scape, 2 way branching, 10 buds.

I was a little reluctant to introduce this daylily.  Definitely not because of the bloom which as you can see has some of the nicest teeth I have ever seen on any of my seedlings.  For years this daylily was a little short and top branched, but this year the scape was tall enough for me to consider introducing it.  Possibly more of a bridge plant, but you will want to use this daylily because of those toothy blooms.  I love it.  Pollen is fertile, but you will have to wait until it's established to set pods, or so it seems with my experience.  Occasionally gets hung up on cold mornings.  SOLD OUT DUE TO EARLY INTEREST.  Watch for this one on the Lily auction in the years to come, because I sent it to a couple of folks who will re sell it down south.

My only patterned introduction for 2019, but that will change in the coming years.  I found that Fulfill your Destiny really blows you away with it's first blooms, but the pattern fades with each subsequent bloom.  I think patterned daylilies are still evolving and that more consistent patterning is in the pipelines for many of us who are working on this trait.  Fulfill your Destiny is a lovely lavender flower with concentric circles in the dark violet colored eye zone, which blend into a yellow green throat.  Easily fertile both ways.  I look forward to seeing it's offspring in the years to come because I used it very heavily.  A favorite of my friend Wayne Listkowski's.  SOLD OUT due to early interest, but should be available from various lily auction sellers down south in the years to come.

JACK MCGEARY (Paul K. Lewis 2019) (Bill Fall (Sellers) X Crimson Sheen (Stamile)) Tet.,SEV, MLa. 6" flower, 34" scape, 2 way branching, 14 buds.

I have been very fortunate to have some wonderful people help me out during very difficult times in my life.  Back in 1979, I had a very serious drug and alcohol problem, and had to go through treatment to help me connect with folks in recovery.  In 1980 I went back to Charles F. Brush High School to complete my senior year there.  It was extremely difficult being in school around all my old using friends and trying to stay sober at the same time.  There was one school teacher there who was also in recovery.  His name was Jack McGeary.  Jack and I became good friends and he said I was more than welcome to come up to his class room during the lunch period to get away from the people I used to hang around with when I was using.  That senior year at high school I managed to stay sober and graduate in 1981.  I know that would have never happened had it not been for Jack's help.  I am fortunate to have stayed sober since then one day at a time, but for the grace of God.  Jack passed away a couple years ago.  I'm glad I got to thank him for helping me during that very difficult time, but I miss seeing Jack around at local meetings.  I was told by his son George that his favorite color was red, so choosing this daylily was a no brainer.  The daylily Jack McGeary is a lovely red daylily that blends into a yellow green throat.  It has been in my garden for a while, and I think it's the color that sets it apart from others.  Comes into bloom in late July here.  Fertile both ways.  SOLD OUT. My Friend Jacob (Paul K. Lewis Fall 2018)

MY FRIEND JACOB (Paul K. Lewis, Fall 2018) (Roses and Gold (Stamile) X Dale Hensley (Smith)) Tet.SEV, EM. 6" flower, 29" scape, 3 way branching, 15 buds,

I first saw this seedling bloom in the backyard probably back in 2014.  I had some bad nut grass back there and after spraying I had to relocate this daylily to the front.  It had an off year for a year, then started to put on it's show again.  It's a lovely pink flower (almost leaning towards red) with a white watermark, blending into a yellow green throat.  It seems to be a different bloom every day.  I love the watermark.  It passes this look on to it's offspring.  Named for my good friend in daylilies, Jacob Henry.  This daylily is fertile both ways, but I have had better luck with it's pollen.  SOLD OUT, but should be available for re sale again in the future.

LISTEN LIKE THIEVES (Paul K. Lewis, Fall 2018) (Ripples and Reflections (Morss) X Waves of Joy (Trimmer)) Tet.SEV, M. 6" flower, 27" scape, 3 way branching, 17 buds.

One of my better early patterned intros.  The thing that I felt separated this flower from other patterned flowers is how the pattern changed from day to day.  On certain days you can even see an arrow shaped pattern which I think is something I would like to see more of in the future.  Listen like thieves is a lovely lavender flower with a violet colored eye zone, blending into a yellow green throat. Easy to breed with setting pods on almost every try.  Fertile both ways.  SOLD OUT, but should be available for resale in the future.

GHOST IN THE MACHINE (Paul K. Lewis, Spring 2018) [(Violet Becomes You (Stamile) X Steve Moldovan (Moldovan)) Tet., SEV, M. 6" bloom, 30" scape, 2 way branching, 15 buds.

My best patterned intro to date. I actually first saw this bloom in 2013, but moved it to a horrible location where it took a step back.  Relocated it to a better spot where it started to do it's thing. Ghost in the Machine has a light purple bloom with a violet patterned eye zone, which blends into a yellow, green throat.  The cool thing about Ghost in the Machine is how the pattern changes from day to day.  It's a little top branched, but I like the height of the scape, and how fertile it is.  There aren't a lot of quality purple patterned daylilies out there, but after seeing a seedling bloom out of it which I will name Fractured, I believe this will be one of the better purple patterned breeders for years to come. Out of the daylily, Steve Moldovan, so it has those great genetics in it. Easily fertile both ways.  SOLD OUT, but I can help you locate some if you email me at PLar4747@aol.com. (Being held for increase)

HENRYETTA COKOR (Paul K. Lewis, Spring 2018) (Vertical Horizon (Moldovan) X Paul Aucoin (Agin)) Tet., SEV, MLa. 6" bloom, 33" scape, 4 way branching, 21 buds.

There are people in this world that are put in your path at certain times to help you get through difficult times.  Such was the case with my neighbor on County Line Rd., Henryetta Cokor. I had never met her, but one day I was out walking my dog and she happened to be getting the mail as I approached.  We struck up a conversation and she really helped me with some things she said.  She was a very salt of the Earth type of person.  Unfortunately she passed in 2018.  I will miss her yearly Christmas cards and most of all the friendship we shared.  She was a very kind soul.  Henryetta Cokor, the daylily is a very lovely lavender colored flower, with a violet colored eye zone that blends into a yellow green throat.  It is also complemented by a very precise violet colored corresponding edge.  My favorite aspect of this daylily is the wonderful 4 way branching and 33 inch scapes.  Easy to set pods on but I have yet to see the seedlings from it.  Easily fertile both ways.  SOLD OUT. (Being held for increase)

DEATH STAR (Paul K. Lewis, Spring 2018) (Millennium Falcon (Lewis) X Spacecoast Behaviour Pattern (Kinnebrew)) Tet., SEV, M. 6" flower, 26" scape, 2 way branching, 12 buds.

This is probably my best introduction bred out of my earlier intro, Millennium Falcon.  Millennium Falcon was very short, but had this gorgeous applique.  I always thought if I could just get that look on a taller flower, it would present much better.  I feel fairly confident I have done just that with my 2018 introduction, Death Star.  Death Star even has a darker purple color here in the north, with that lovely cream colored applique, which can be seen also on it's sepals.  It's a favorite of mine and sets pods when established.  Fertile both ways.  SOLD OUT, but is being sold on the Lily auction by various re sellers. (Currently being held for increase)

Some of my previous intros are still available.  Email me at PLar4747@aol.com to check on availability.  If  I don't have one of them here, I usually know folks who have it, and would sell you some.  Thank you for looking at my introductions.
