Paper Cut (Paul K. Lewis, Spring 2026 introduction) (Rich Howard (Kendig) X Richard J. Howard (Ridder)) Tet. M, Sev, 6" bloom, 28" scape, 2 way branching, 15 buds.
I've been working on hybridizing a striped daylily in this color combination for a long time. I've always envisioned that perfect candy cane striping that I so loved when I was a child. Most of the striped daylilies I've seen lacked a decent red color, almost going more towards a mungy dark red color. Paper Cut is probably the closest I've gotten to the pure red and white color combination. Paper Cut is a red bloom with white and lighter white flecks and stripes, blending into a yellow green throat. There are the occasional solid colored blooms, which has been a trait that goes back to it's parents. Pollen is easy and pods are possible when established. $350 for a SF. SOLD OUT. This will be available next Fall from resellers.

Purple Voodoo (Paul K. Lewis, Spring 2026) (The Downward Spiral (Lewis) X Poe Dameron (Lewis)) Tet., M, Sev, 6" bloom, 24" scape, 2 way branching, 15 buds.
This is my best introduction coming from The Downward Spiral thus far. It is a front of the border daylily but one that you can't walk by without being blown away by that amazing pattern. Purple Voodoo is a purple bloom with a light white eye zone, complemented by a patterned eye of purple concentric rings, blending into a yellow green throat. The pattern is very consistent. I feel this is a step forward for purple patterned daylilies. It is very fertile both ways even setting pods on young divisions. $350 for a SF. SOLD OUT. Ginny Eickholdt (Paul K. Lewis, Spring 2026) (Pray Without Ceasing (Emmerich) X Dr. Frances S. Baker (Lewis)) Tet., M, Sev, 6" bloom, 28" scape, 2 to 3 way branching, 14 buds.
Ginny Eickholdt is one of my good daylily friends on Facebook. Unfortunately Ginny passed a couple years ago. I have never met Ginny in person, but I always felt a connection with her. We both loved daylilies and seemed to share similar interests in music. Ginny lived in White Lake, Michigan and her daughter, Emily gave me permission to name a daylily for her. Ginny hybridized daylilies at Urban Flora Daylilies. Emily said her favorite color was purple, so I hope Ginny approves of this daylily as her namesake. The daylily Ginny Eickholdt is a lovely purple bloom with a light purple frosted watermark. It is complemented by a corresponding light purple and gold double edge. It is easily fertile both ways. Named for a lovely person we all miss very much. $200 for a SF. SOLD OUT. This daylily will be available a year from now from re sellers. If you would like to purchase a plant, email me at PLar4747@aol.com and I will direct you to someone you can purchase it from.

Dragonstone (Paul K. Lewis, Spring 2026) (Mom's Kind Heart (Bush) X Vampire Academy (Polston)) Tet., M, Sev, 6" bloom, 32" scape, 4 way branching, 35 buds.
There are a lot of red toothies out there, but the thing that separates Dragonstone is the stellar plant habit. These lovely well branched scapes are just loaded with buds. You can see in the all the buds in the bottom picture above. Dragonstone is a dark red flower with a white toothy edge on the petals and the sepals, blending into a yellow green throat. Dragonstone is named for one of the castles from the series, Game of Thrones, which I am a really big fan of. Dragonstone the flower is easily fertile both ways. $150 for a SF. SOLD OUT. This will be available from resellers a year from now.

Love Actually (Paul K. Lewis, Spring 2026) (American Spring (Kirchhoff) X Green Volcano (Pierce)) Tet., M, Sev, 6" bloom, 30" scape, 2 way branching, 14 buds.
I've hybridized reds throughout my 25 years of hybridizing. So, I won't introduce a red unless I really feel there's something special about it. That is the case with my new introduction, Love Actually. You can't miss the tall 30 inch scapes and the cherry red flowers invite you in for a closer look. Love Actually is out of David Kirchhoff's great red, American Spring. David's reds have always been an important part of my red hybridizing. (Thank you David for all you have shared with me over the years.) Love Actually is a cherry red flower with a faint lighter watermark, blending into a large yellow green throat. Love Actually is easily fertile both ways. Named for the movie, Love Actually. I always liked the message at the end of the movie that love actually is all around. $150 for a SF. SOLD OUT. Will be available a year from now from re sellers.

Paula Nock (Paul K. Lewis, Spring 2026) (Red Fortune (Kirchhoff) X Stolen Heart (Pickles)) Tet., M, Sev, 6" bloom, 28" scape, 2 way branching, 15 buds.
I feel very fortunate that some really kind people have been put in my path that have helped me during difficult times. Paula Nock was one of those people. Paula worked as a clerk at the Gates Mills Post office here in Gates Mills, Ohio for years. There were days that I would show up with a ton of daylily shipments to go out. I would be completely overwhelmed, but talking with Paula while she scanned each package calmed my nerves. She was such a nice, wonderful person. Paula passed about a year ago. I do miss my friend at the Gates Mills post office very much. I do know Paula liked red daylilies, so this introduction seemed like the right one to name for her. Paula Nock the daylily is a dark red bloom with a lighter red eye zone, blending into a yellow green throat. Easily fertile both ways. $100 for a SF. SOLD OUT. This will be available from re sellers in about a year.
As you can see all my 2026 introductions are already sold out. Many of them got shipped to re sellers last Fall and should show up on the Lily Auction and in some of the Facebook daylily auction groups this winter. If you are interested in a specific introduction, you can email me at PLar4747@aol.com and I will direct you to a re seller that is growing it. Thank you for looking at introductions.
